Support

Organisations which support, or have supported Kingsbridge in the past.

Sported

www.sported.org.uk

sported. is a national charity that provides support to community sport organisations that work with young people in disadvantaged areas.

sported. does this by providing business resources and financial assistance, so that these organisations can concentrate on doing what they do best – improving the lives of disadvantaged young people through sport.

This is made possible thanks to our network of volunteers, mentors and experts, who provide their services to members of sported. Kingsbridge is a member of sported. and receives business support and mentoring as well as potential financial support through the sported. Small Grants Programme.

Community Matters

www.communitymatters.org.uk

Community Matters represents the largest network of grassroots community organisations in the UK. Our programmes and services aim to support them and the people they serve, and to create the conditions in which communities can thrive. Kingsbridge is a member of Community Matters and receives business consultancy, legal advice and fundraising support.

It supports neighbourhood-based, community-led organisations to become more sustainable through a mixture of loans, grants and business support. Kingsbridge has received support through a Feasibility Grant from ACF and general business consultancy.

Community Builders

www.communitybuildersfund.org.uk

The Community Builders Fund, previously owned by the Department of Community and Local Government is now an endowed fund, owned and administered by the Adventure Capital Fund. It supports neighbourhood-based, community-led organisations to become more sustainable through a mixture of loans, grants and business support. Kingsbridge has received support from Community Builders through a Business Development Grant, along with general business consultancy.

Church Urban Fund

www.cuf.org.uk

Church Urban Fund supports grassroots, faith-based social action in England’s poorest communities. We equip local churches and faith groups to put their faith into action in areas of high deprivation, where many people are isolated, struggling to make ends meet and lacking opportunities to fulfil their potential. By working with the people who know their communities best we help to develop effective, targeted solutions to often complex issues. The Church Urban Fund works to restore relationships between individuals and within communities and society at large – because it is when we become disconnected from one another that poverty and inequality are allowed to spread unchecked. The Church Urban Fund supported Kingsbridge by providing a Mustard Seed Grant.
